This wedding day was all in the details.
Ashlyn and Michael envisioned a Denver celebration that wasn’t just seen, but felt. From the attire to the décor, handcrafted elements lovingly created by family members (and the bride herself) honored the relationships that shaped them. With its historic architecture and timeless atmosphere, the Wellshire Event Center provided the perfect backdrop for a family-centered celebration. We had the great honor of serving as their wedding photographers.

A Celebration Built by Loved Ones
A significant part of documenting this wedding day involved capturing the meaningful contributions of Ashlyn and Michael’s family and friends. Ashlyn’s lace mantilla veil was sewn by her mom. The wooden arch, custom-built by her dad, displayed bouquets behind the sweetheart table during the reception. The homemade pies, baked by her aunt, carried on a beloved family tradition.
Every detail offered a glimpse into the community surrounding this couple, creating a wedding day that felt refreshingly authentic rather than scripted or staged. Even the socks worn by Michael and Ashlyn’s wedding party held special meaning: each pair was hand-knit by Ashlyn as an expression of her love language.

An Intentional Wedding Day at Wellshire Event Center
The wedding day timeline was just as thoughtful as the details themselves. Designed to feel relaxed rather than tightly scheduled, it created space for meaningful connection and genuine presence.
Cocktail hour was intentionally extended, giving Ashlyn and Michael plenty of time to mingle with their guests and enjoy the food. Later, the newlyweds slipped away for a private dinner and portrait time while their guests sat down to dine. They then rejoined the celebration for toasts, pie-cutting, and dancing.

Capturing What Matters Most
Our focus throughout the day was on the candid moments that made it uniquely theirs: morning laughter, Ashlyn and Michael showing each other their wedding attire, and that unforgettable first bite of pie. Then there was the surprise moment during the ceremony when they revealed to their guests that they had actually eloped a year earlier!
Even during formal portrait time, the emphasis remained on relationships. Unplanned moments of affection mattered more than manufactured poses. And that’s exactly the way we like it.
Our wedding photography collections are built around your day, because your vision goes deeper than a shot list. Whether that looks like eight hours of coverage at the Wellshire Event Center or an adventure elopement in the Rockies, we’ll capture your Colorado wedding the way it actually felt—the way you’ll always remember it.
